Q Green Techcon manufactures fly ash brick and concrete block making machines and supplies them to producers in Raipur and across Chhattisgarh. The range runs from a starter press sized for around 10,000 bricks a shift up to twin press machines for larger plants. Mixing, pre-feed and material handling equipment are made alongside the presses, so a complete plant can be put together from one supplier.

Q Green Techcon builds hydraulic fly ash brick making machines and supplies them to plants in and around Raipur. The models below are the standard machines in the range. Each is sized by the output a producer needs per shift, and the output figures assume a standard brick size, so the number changes if the brick dimensions change.

Machines in the range

QGH Smart. The starting point in the range, intended for producers planning 10,000 to 12,000 bricks per shift. It has a 40 tonne hydraulic pressing capacity, produces 3 bricks per stroke and runs at 6 cycles per minute, on a pallet of 450 mm x 300 mm x 18 mm. A pre-feed system and a 300 kg pan mixer can be specified as options.

QGH 14. Part of the builder series, suited to 14,000 to 15,000 bricks per shift. It has a 50 tonne hydraulic pressing capacity, 4 bricks per stroke and 6 cycles per minute, on a pallet of 600 mm x 300 mm x 18 mm. Pre-feed and pan mixer are available as options.

QGH 17. Also from the builder series, for 16,000 to 17,000 bricks per shift. It shares the 50 tonne pressing capacity, 4 bricks per stroke and 600 mm x 300 mm x 18 mm pallet of the QGH 14, runs at 7 cycles per minute, and has the same optional pre-feed and mixer.

QGH 25. For producers working at 15,000 to 20,000 bricks per shift. It has an 80 tonne hydraulic pressing capacity, produces 6 bricks per stroke and runs at 7 cycles per minute, on a pallet of 800 mm x 300 mm x 18 mm.

QGH 25A Twin. A twin press configuration for 23,000 to 24,000 bricks per shift. Two 80 tonne presses together produce 12 bricks per stroke at 7 cycles per minute, on an 800 mm x 300 mm x 18 mm pallet.

Options and configuration

Output per shift is quoted against a standard brick size. A larger brick means fewer pieces per stroke and a lower shift figure, so the machine is best selected against the sizes a plant actually plans to sell.

Why fly ash bricks suit the Raipur market

Raipur sits in a part of the country with a concentration of thermal power generation and steel making, which means fly ash and pond ash are available locally as raw material rather than having to be brought in. Bricks made this way are pressed and cured rather than fired, so the process needs no kiln and no topsoil.

For the builder buying them, the practical differences are dimensional consistency, straight edges and flat faces. Walls go up faster, plaster consumption drops, and there is less breakage in handling than with hand moulded clay bricks. That combination is what has moved a good part of the local market towards pressed bricks and blocks.
